Welcome to the Congregation of the Blessed Sacrament Vocation Office for the Philippine Province of Our Lady of the Assumption. We invite you to explore things About Us as a congregation and the Blessed Sacrament Vocation Club (BSVC) while prayerfully discerning God’s voice for a possibility of a Eucharistic vocation. Before you do all that, allow us to briefly explain who we are.
Following in the footsteps of our Holy Founder, Saint Peter Julian Eymard, we are an apostolic group of men whose prophetic calling is to assist the Church in her efforts to form Christian communities whose center of life is the Eucharist. Our Mission as Blessed Sacrament Priests and Brothers is to respond to the hungers of the human family with the riches of God’s love manifested in the Eucharist (Rule of Life no. 3).
United in the Spirit with those who are poor and weak, we oppose everything which degrades human dignity and we proclaim a more just and brotherly world as we await the coming of the Lord (Rule of Life no. 3).
We publish The Emmanuel, a magazine for Eucharistic spirituality, and other liturgical and devotional materials. We actively work toward having the Eucharist as the source and summit of our Christian life. We proclaim Christ’s Eucharistic presence in the world through celebrating the sacraments, working in parish ministry as pastors and associates, school chaplains, writing, teaching, preaching, counselling, and working for justice.
Jesus at one time invited Peter to “put out into the deep water and lower your nets for a catch.” With some hesitation he did, and astonishment at the catch seized him and all those with him. Further, Jesus called him and his friends to “Come follow me, and I will make you fishers of men.” And “They left everything and followed Him.”
Is God calling you to be a priest or brother – an Apostle of the Eucharist? How do you know? We can help you. Join the Blessed Sacrament Vocation Club!
